Meeting with Rizal from Bliss!!

Ok so, Ili from Bliss had emailed me and Wak Jawa and mentioned that they had given us the privilege of securing our date before they officially announce their slots opening later that week.


Happy or what, she have arranged for us to meet up with Rizal at Lot 1 McDonald, 9pm. I was so happy and for all I noe, im so gonna straightaway sign up with Bliss....like Hello?? Bliss siak....opportunity is there, grab lah siol!





ok ok..back to the meetup.
I reached at around 0838hrs and Wak Jawa came exactly at 9pm (both were from work)
Rizal identified himself and shook hands with Wak Jawa....He introduced a little bit of himself and
explained on how he worked. I did ask him a few questions too and his reply is very detailed.
When he had done his calculations on the price, he asked "so how? u both want to sign up now....." before he could even finish his sentence I dgn cepat say "Yes!" hahahah!! and look at Wak Jawa with a muker nak step cheeky tapi annoying plus burok...







Rizal laughed and Wak Jawa mentioned "ah...ni semua dia yang handle and arrange....saya follow jer..haha!" To which Rizal den say "Dia manage tapi awak Financial Manager.." LOL!!!!
kekek jugak lah our Videographer. Well at least he could make us feel really2 comfortable because I really need to be comfortable while facing the cameras and stuffs.....so that settles! Alhamdulillah!


I also told Rizal as to why I chose Bliss for Cameraman and Video man is that because I will also need them to be comfortable too since they are both from the same company and both know each other plus they already understand their style of work, it will create a better result for the piece :)
Insya Allah...


Rizal nodded and he did also share some of his experiences a little. We finally took our leave and will soon be in contact once our wedding date is nearer....


Alhamdulillah!!! another item can be strike off! Whee!

(Actually its DIY, my aunt apply for me tapi i nak make it

sound professional gitu..eh, kasi lah credit to my auntie kan!)

Ok I know......Why 2 mak andams kan? tamak sgt kan? haha!!
I really2 love Dliska Touch because I have seen her make up on my childhood friend and that I just love home based mak andams...furthermore, Kak Ida, is a veteran with more den 15 years in the business...
Her make up is simple....nothing busy lah mcm wayang pekji gitu...
her baju also not bad and her cost is very affordable :)
But was sad to hear that she no longer taking for 2016 as she wants to stop and retire...


The week after I got engaged, I quickly call Kak Ida and spoke to her....she is so down to earth! Told her that I would like to make an appointment with her and meet her (ni semua case tanak hegeh2, nak dtg tros sign confirmation)
We came by her place in Teck Whye and was lead to a room where all her bridal collections and wedding albums are placed. I asked Kak Ida questions and she replied to all sincerely.
During that time, I did not know if my nikah were to be on a Friday or on Saturday hence I told Kak Ida that I am now confirming for my Sanding on Sat & Sun so I confirm on the package and I was a happy girl.


For my Nikah I was intending to don on the tudung so I must ensure that the tudung must be very modern and up to date...
tanak lah pakai tudung yang letak rende2 plus veil plus crown...busy kaper??? oh no!!


Luckily Kak Ida does offer very2 nice muslimah outfit..yeay!!!


Now just awaiting for the next meet up with our parents to really confirm on the majlis nikah and once confirm will let Kak Ida know.


So....the nikah day has been concluded and both parents agreed to do it on a Friday and just when I was about to make another appointment to meet Kak Ida and confirm on the date.....a controversial news between a mak andam and a photographer went viral to which I checked that out. It was between Peti Solek and Golden Moments. Golden Moments have raised their unhappiness on their  FB page and rant on how Peti Solek is not being professional, bla bla bla....Peti Solek on the other hand is standing firm on their right and is being very professional on handling this issue. And during that time, I also 'stalk' lah their FB page and have a look at their baju2....and then I saw their muslimah outfit.......
**kakak teros call Wak Jawa nak ada 2 mak andam**
Seriously, how can one not fall in love with their muslimah outfit below siak????
tengok ah korang!!! lawa kan??!!!!!

So I quickly emailed them to check if they are available on my nikah date (feeling hopeful as it is a Friday) and I was actually quite nervous because they are almost booked for the year 2015 when I checked. 
So when they replied to me that the date that I enquired for is open, I went like this ...



Serious, I tak bedek k! Wanted to pekik "yeeeessssssaaaaaa!!!!!!!" but because I opened my personal email at work nanti client2 semua ingat aku giler...da kene buang kerja. Hahahahaa!!!!!


I quickly called Wak Jawa and told him that we will have to set an appointment date with the ladies and I told him that I will want to straightaway confirm on the booking. Yes, I was that confident. Haha! Wak Jawa relented lah because part2 Andaman all he serahkan tu me....he just follow the flow jer...


So I booked an appointment with the ladies at 730pm. Wak Jawa fetched me from work and we went straight to their place at  Jurong West.


So we met Yaya and Yana.....both are so the kekek giler lah! I like them coz they also talk2 merepek like me that's why we can click lah kan.,....Wak Jawa was there and diam jer....haha!!! But he did mentioned that he liked their baju all...


They explained to me on their packages...I don really wanna hear it lah bcoz I just want to sign jer!! tanak lah byk berbual bcoz my mind has already been set on Peti Solek! But kene lah understand on the things that I am about to sign kan so yeah..after I have confirmed on the booking and berbual sana sini pasal segala hal ehwal dunia, kita pon mintak diri lah kan...


The moment I stepped out of their gate....my giler+excited mode switched on! I went running to the lift with excitement like this -





Serious, tak bedek k! Wak Jawa da geleng2 kepala tengok kan si gemok ni lari ke lift smpai gitu skali...haha!!

So yeah..mak andam..sua settle!

Why DIY Henna?
Those who knows me, knows that I freaking love Henna! I love the smell (my best friend zda gonna slap me for this coz she freaking hate the smell..haha!) That is why for Henna, I am very, very particular about it. 
Because what I had noticed is that, the drawing kinda henna, we can remove it by just 'scraping' it. From what I know, henna will fade and cannot be 'scraped' to remove. All the while I've been using the 'inai mekkah' the henna will just fade and can never, ever be scraped. I dunnoe lah eh, just my own personal choice.
I just do not fancy those henna drawings on the hand, get this clear ok, I just do not fancy, not that I HATE them. I love Syraskins and Henna Bella designs....but im seriously not into it lah...I prefer the simple, traditional henna, just on the tip on my fingers, letak itu dot dot thing and the sun...I swear to you guys that my auntie can make very nice traditional henna...very cantik and rapi....look very2 traditional and guess what? She applied her own henna during her wedding day....wow! Thumbs up seh Cik Peah!
She did the Henna during my elder sis wedding and I really2 love it...

Ok all....now let me share with you on who we will be working with and why I chose them :)

Why Saiful Imran?
It is no doubt that Saiful Imran Deco has been one of the best wedding decoration but not only that,
they deliver the best service too. Owners are husband and wife, Abg Saiful & Kak Mas. When you talk to them, you will really feel comfortable. Just tell Kak Mas on what and how you would like your deco to be and I assure you that they will give you the exact thing as how you had envisioned. I fell in love with them when they did the deco for my sis wedding. My aunt knows them and that is how we know of this deco vendor. Eh cantik lah siol! tak bedek.

Why Bliss PhotoCinema?
Walaoeh! Need I explain more? Isnt it obvious that they are that damn good?! hehe..
Well, me and Wak Jawa have agreed that we would take a very, very good photographer as we are gonna look at it for the rest of our lives. And what I like most about Bliss is that their 'moment' shot is
always at the perfect timing. I did 'stalk' their pictures on FB and their website and I have fallen in love with this particular photographer by the name of 'Syahruz'. Indeed all their photographers are good with their work but it is Syahruz work that I really felt that I have a connection with (siak ah....mcm paham eh nak connection semua...diam sudah)


Gave a call to Bliss and was assisted by Naz, very patient when I enquired with him and before I could ask if I can choose a particular photographer, he already mentioned that we can and that there will be additional charges for that. (in my heart, I don care! charge lah! I just want syahruz!!!!)
I also asked about the videographer and he said that he will make an appointment for us to meet both of them. I am really not that particular on the videographer but I have seen their work especially Rizal's that his videos are really good! (baik ah bro!)



So we made an appointment with them and I was like the most excited woman on this green earth!!

Why do I take photographer and videographer from the same company? I just want both to be
comfortable working, since both already know each other kan.....both know their style of work and whatever communication also will be easy.


So on the day of the appointment, I was surprised to be see only Syahruz alone (oh, maybe Rizal is gonna be late) but den he explained that Rizal will meet us on another day because there will be slight changes to the videography package. So, ok lah kan...at least photographer idaman ku ada gua happy!
Been following Syahruz on Instagram and this is the 1st time that we will be meeting him face to face. He is quite shy at 1st (of course la kan, tak kan nak tunjuk perangai merepek biler 1st time jumpa customer siak) but overall he is a very pleasant and he explained to us in details for the packages that we are signing for. I really do not need time to think coz I am very sure that I want Bliss to be a part of my wedding ceremony :)
So yeah........confirm lah! Happy tau saya!!!

Now I am just awaiting for the Quotation for the videography coz it has been a few months already and I am just worried lah. I tell you, Im sure Bliss Team will think that I am a psycho who emailed them and wrote to them on their FB inbox keep asking them on the quotation...wait eh...3 times only lah...exaggerate lah eh 'keep on asking' mcm stalker lah plak...lucky their admin, Ili replied and I was like freaking relieved to know that my dates have already been saved in their calendar...phew.
I mean, im sure all the BTBs out there can understand my worries when I met Syahruz on October, when he mentioned that they will send me an email on the updated videography quotation once it is done somewhere in November....

-THAT KANCHONG MOMENT-

So, ni akak da kanchiong and emailed Bliss on 25 November 13 and had not gotten a reply. Ok lah fine, I can understand that they are all busy especially coming to the year end where all the kawin2 are all happening. So, on the 6th December 2013, I decided to FB inbox them and check again no reply....but still Im fine lah but I am just worried and I just could not wait to strike off the list for the videographer so kakak wait and wait until 23 December 2013 kakak decided to email again and that is when I received a reply. (sorry lah eh, this BTB is just freaking worried but hey, Bliss is still the awesome team!!)


And just today, Rizal gave Wak Jawa a call to inform that he will be sending out the quotation and kakak here is freaking happy!! wheee!!! confirm plus chop we both are so gonna sign up with him!!

The rough Wedding Plan

Hey hey.......!! Since the date has been set, me and Wak Jawa initially wanted to have combined wedding (nak save cost dok) coz we think that focusing on our marriage is much more important den the wedding....
And we also thought of just inviting only a few close friends to share the special day with us...
but when we really sat and talk abt this, we had to forgo the plan because -




1. My Parents won't agree (confirm plus chop)
2. His Parents won't agree (confirm plus guarantee)
3. He is the 1st child (Parents excited)
4. I'm an ANDARTU (sedara all are waiting for the moment Norah wants to get married..LOL!!)
5. Many friends lah (budak primary lain, secondary lain, ITE lain, ex colleagues lain, colleagues skrg lain, kawan luar lain....maner peh famous siak aku...sepak baru tau eh)
6. We both came from very, very big family.
Wak Jawa dad side has 17 siblings and his mum side has 13 siblings
Me, dad side 12 siblings and my mum side 13 siblings
Not inclusive of our cousins and all our nieces and nephews...
*yes, confirm our wedding kecoh mampos if combine sey*







So yeah, gotta omit with the combined wedding plans.


Den we also thought of having a dinner recep thinking to invite just our friends lah for it but malas lah nak have 2 separate wedding cards. So we have came down to a decision....

The days are -
Friday - Nikah at my place (lepas maghrib)
Saturday - Sanding (my side)
Sunday - Sanding (Wak Jawa's side)
No bertandang, no leceh2 but I can forsee its gonna be a freaking penat mampos day for us!

Yes, many asked "asal nikah kau tanak buat sama hari as kau sanding seh babe? kan save day and save cost"
Because, I am following my family tradition of nikah on Friday at home. My kakak and adek both nikah on a Friday..continuing the tradition babe...
and also, I am doing my reception at CC (a few bus stops away from my house) so if I were to nikah pagi, on the same day as my recep day, kan kelam kabut gitu...


I already know who I'd like for my Mak Andam, photographers, bridesmaid, deco and all....
So I quickly went ahead to book for them (and I am happy that I manage to get them all, Alhamdulillah)

The Engagement - 22 June 2013

Though my engagement was last year, 22 June 2013....(sorry lah, da basi kan)
I just thought that I'd like to share with you (no harm aper) since I kinda just started blogging about my BTB journey ;)


My Engagement Ceremony was err...not so simple yet not so lavish..
Some of the stuffs are sponsored..erm...i think by saying 'gifts' are better kan? haha! My sis hadiah kan photographer, mum on the tukang mask, my other sister on the cake buat pihak lelaki and my close friend, Fazean, who makes up for me didnt wanna accept any payment from me and says that it is a sincere gift from her as she da niat...Masya Allah.....
The dulang hantaran all decorated by mum's best friend daughter (her name is Kak Liza, she's creative I tell ya!)
Ouh, and the dress, mum bought it at a price of less den $50...alah, kat geylang jer..hehe!!

And I didnt sit in my room for the ceremony. Mum wanted me to sit at the balcony as she wants me to hear and watch the whole thing. She also place 2 chairs as she didnt want the aunt, who's gonna wear the ring for me, to stand while doing so (macam tak sopan gitu aku dudok abeh makcik kene diri sarungkan cincin) adding to that, mum say "nanti tengah ramai orang semua nak amek gambar abeh makcik tu diri sarungkan kau cincin, nanti teramek gambar bontot dia plak" eh eh mak aku ni pon..haha!!! Tapi ada betul nyer jgk kan :)

My parents book the void deck (just a small space) for the makan2 and karaoke....well, I shall post some pics to share with you all k....not much pics sebab this lady here is freaking lazy lah gitu...nyehehehe!

Wak Jawa did came down too, but that was only after his side had went home coz we wanted to take pic sama2 :)

But let me tell you, it was during the haze period...the PSI was already 300 plus! OMG!!!
The night before I really solat and berdoa untuk sempurnakan dan permudah kan segala urusan ku, I cried seh....
I was worried coz the makan2 was held at the void deck and with the haze and stuffs takot ramai tak akan hadir and afraid the haze might contaminate the food and will lead to food poisoning to those who consume it...byk sgt fikiran I tell u!!
On the day itself when I went to the Hair Salon to curl my hair, I was accompanied by my cousins and they were like ;
"kakak....the haze is bad seh...."
"kak...the haze niari mcm makin terok jer.."
"kak, majlis maseh go on eh?"
OMG!!! DIAM SIA KORANG!!!!
I was on the verge of breaking down but somehow I did manage to compose myself..Alhamdulillah.


My Primary school mate works at the salon and she gave me a discount...yeay!! Jadilah kan...rezeki aku lah eh..haha!!


So, after the simple hair set up, we went back home and Fazean already reach my place..

Time for Make up!!!!!

I told Fazean that I wanted my make up to be pure and simple like Malaque's. 

Im sure she did a great job right?

(the bouquet was a gift from my aunt, i didnt realise its the same as Malaque's as well until i did

 this frame)

Why the so called 'Princess' look? Because Wak Jawa calles me his Princess, hence I want to feel like a princess lah kan...(kesian eh nak feeling) LOL!

Ok...ni tgh get ready lah gitu..LOL!!!

Muka ada senyum..!! hehe!

His aunt, from his dad side who wears the

ring for me. (kan cantik duduk sama2..hehe)

Cincin sua sarong....sua jadi tunang orang! haha!

I was only working for 2 months with my new job

and I did invite my new colleagues, so touched

that they came, even surprised that my Director

came as well :)

I already know.....what I wanted for my wedding!!

Having my eldest and younger sister who got married before me, I knew how to roughly plan on wedding and stuffs (konon da ada experience lah gitu).
And I also know which vendor to take as I have met a few....
I also did my own research and finally came to a decision......

It is not easy I tell you, especially when it concerns the once in a lifetime event...
and I definitely want a good cameraman who can capture these moments as me and my spouse is gonna look at the album for our entire life! I do not mind paying more for quality :)

Even before the engagement I already plan on who I wanted for Bridal, Photography, Videography, Deco...
Entertainment, Catering, Dulang Hantaran all Mum got a lot of lobang...
Kompang all his side mah....

My wedding is not a lavish one lah....just a simple event where Wak Jawa and myself would like to share our love with our family and friends :)

I shall share with you the journey on my plans for choosing the vendors once I have shared with you my engagement journey ok?
