What a coincidence!

Yesterday, me and hubby had 2 wedding invitations. One at Choa Chu Kang and the other one at Bukit Merah.
My Parents in Law were also invited for the wedding at Choa Chu Kang coz the nenek pengantin was hubby's babysitter when he was little but they had 3 wedding invitations.
I stayed at my In Laws place during the weekend but went home on Sunday morning coz I didn't bring the outfit along (malas nak pack byk barang). Thank Allah, we stayed near ;)
The plan was to go home, get ready and to borrow my dad's car unfortunately, my parents had to go JB to run some errands and we have to stick to taking bike. I was complaining to Hubby that taking the bike will make my tudung kemek coz of the helmet and the wind will make my tudung fly2 and smeared my lipstick and as Im wearing dress, I have to wear leggings den nanti panas and bla bla bla...hahahaha!!
Lagi2 the 2 venues jauh siol..dari Tampines to CCK and Bukit Merah on the bike tak kelakar ok.
My FIL suggested that he will fetch me and I will be following them in the car while Hubby take his bike and meet him at the venue (SPOILED GIRL) and after that will follow hubby for the next wedding.

After we are done with our food, the clouds starts to get dark and Hubby was mentioning that we had to quickly make a move as afraid that we might get caught in the rain. The conversation went like this -
Hubby : Oklah Mama, Baba...kita kene gerak to Bukit Merah sekarang....cuaca mcm da nak hujan..
FIL : Next wedding kau Bukit Merah? 
Hubby : ah..ah..
MIL : Eh, kita punya pon kat Bukit Merah...eh check kad lagi, skali sama jemputan eh?
Hubby quickly check the card and showed them...all stared at each other..
MIL & FIL : eh....sama lah....! tak tau pulak anak dia kawan dengan kau...
Hubby : alah......klau tau orang tak bawak motor seh..
MIL : tulah...kita pon bukan nak check...klau tau tak payah kau bawak motor sebab yang lagi satu wedding tu kat Tampines dekat dengan rumah Khalilah (me).

Huahuahua........

Bilik Pengantin Basi.....

Da 8 bulan kawin maseh belom bukak2 the deco for bilik pengantin. Konon maseh nak feeling newlywed lah gitu (eh...maseh ape!)
Thought of just letting it be till it reaches our 1st anniversary tapi kan, berangan tu kene stop sebab bende ni da collect habok sikit-sikit.

The perks of having to DIY your own bilik is, even when you balek Honeymoon the room still remain....
I still remembered masa balek dari berbulan madu and seeing your room still in the 'pengantin condition' and smell of the bunga rampai lingering but lagi best when my mum puts my bridal bouquet petals on my bed (tak sempat nak amek gambar).
The feeling is just awww........
I have friends who engage their deco people who decorate their bilik pengantin telling me that they were given only a week before they bukak the deco (and end of the majlis they only bukak the cadar) or their deco people only give a day jer to enjoy and the next day they come and take off all the deco. 
WHAT??
Dari my sisters wedding till mine part2 bilik pengantin my mum prefer to DIY. We got our own family friend to help us on this. We go kain hunting for langsir, cadar and the kain to cover my room..because I am the not-cerewet-pengantin and to avoid pening kepala segala, I chose white for it lah. My furniture set all white so deco pon putih lah, senang.
Talking bout my bed set, here it is...all white..whee..except for the clock :p

And my dearest Uncle helped with painting of my room. White jugak lah kan.

best part....

yes, with the price tag still on haha!!

Love & White Posies

Been procrastinating, as always......da lama ni entry dudok kat draft tau.
So here it is :) 

As my lil sister is getting married in 2017, I pretty much have helped her with some stuffs about weddings. So on the 1st November, Sunday, we went to Love & White Posies event to check it out. How we got to know about this event? Our favourite vendor, Saiful Imran Deco invited us. Kak Mas, the ladyboss texted my mum to come down as she wants to propose to my mum to held my lil sis wedding at the venue since our jemputan is 2k and she highly recommended the place.

 Me, Mum, Lil sis and fiance plus his mum came down :)

We were given doorgifts after registration.

Dapat coffee, and inside there are 3 sachets.

It is an air conditioned hall, somewhat like CC, huge but no stage.

Very nice place....WHY DIDNT I KNOW OF THIS PLACE EARLIER SEH????!!!

Oh well, my rezeki is just not at this venue kan.

Sorry lah eh, cara amek tak berapa cantik (aku bukan Syahruz seh)..hehe, senget siket lah yer.

We came at around 2 plus where they are halfway through the Bridal Runway Show by Versarie Ade.
My eldest sis took them for her wedding which was 8 years back, to which their outfit is already nice but now lagi updated and byk choices.
I know most of the BTBs here prefers Bridals like The Wedding Brocade, Peti Solek, Ishq By Norazee, Chantique The Bridal Gallery, Fatimah Mohsin,  kan kan kan???? Tapi if in the case that the mentioned Bridal is not available during your wedding dates (since they are fast to be fully booked esp Peti Solek & Ishq By Norazee) You beautiful BTBs can have a look at Versarie Ade :)


Anyways, me and sis did not check out on all the vendors and only recce a few as the other stuffs are mosty settled, let me share with y'all.

1st stop

Marvelicious by MLC

Being a dessert fan, we straightaway went to the dessert corner (takder hegeh2 seh)

Not in pic is the Ondeh-Ondeh Cake and the Salted Caramel Chocolate  Cake but we did took a slice to taste :)

These are what we took. Overall, their dessert all sedap...thumbs up! I enjoyed it so much that I am a lil unwilling to share it with my sis...muahahaha! Padahal dia yang nak kawin aku plak yang melebih.

The Ondeh Ondeh cake's filling is nice because I can taste the coconut flavour plus the gula melaka (itu barang penting ok) only that the cake texture is not to my liking but overall, the cake is sedap :)
Whereas for the Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake, I super love the cake texture but didn't really fancy the cream coz it taste kinda buttery and I guessed that most salted caramel cream taste like that coz the cake at I Am cafe also kinda have the same taste. Best part is, the bits of chocolate mini balls in the cake layers adds some funk to it. Overall, nice but if eat too much a bit muak :)

2nd Stop

Candy Couture

Nice banner.

I managed to speak with the Founder of Candy Couture (Jambu k the lady!) She's very warm and explained the details carefully when I enquired. For this event, she set up the booth with Chanel theme. Of course, she can also assist you with whatever theme that you have in mind.

I tasted the pandan/kaya tart, eclairs and almond jelly with lychee in the cup. Sedap lah wei. yang lain2 tu adek aku dengan cepat kunyah dulu sebelum dia tak dapat chance..huahuahua. In case you are wondering what that Polka Dots candy is, it is actually Cadburry Chocolate wrapped with a printed paper. Nice to know that she uses Cadbury choc instead of those bacen cheap chocolates yang tak sedap.

3rd Stop

TIGAfolks & Co

One of the guys behind this company happens to be friends with my future BIL. I liked the idea of this kinda gourmet as it is good for those yang ada 2 or tiga jemputan on the same day and klau maseh kenyang from the previous event can have something light like this :)

The Prawn Aglio Olio is oh so sedap. though its a lil oily but I would rather eat a slightly oily pasta then a dry one.

 Looks good right but the taste is actually not that great. I guess this is not their specialty but if you head down to their cafe at Blk 612, Clementi West St 1 #01-288, their Waffles and Milkshake is the bomb!

Hand Lotion. Their products are all made of Goat's milk.

They have different packaging that you can choose from.

Even the ingredients in their cookies are of Goat's milk and it is homemade, not factory made. Did taste them and they are good! Check it out guys...

The Sanding - Groom's Side - Sunday, 22nd March 2015

This day, I wasn't so tensed up lah coz my side was over...

I'm more relaxed but Wak Jawa yang tgh rasa nervous (ah, amek kau..niari kau nyer turn)

We both got ready at my place, thank God we stayed near.

And the only thing that I was excited about his side is that there will have some dance session (confirm plus chop one!) Akak suker noh..............

Ah, that one I will cerita further k..

1st Outfit

 For his side, the theme colour is brown and cream hence most of the things you see is of that shade. And I'm quite surprised that he chose that colour because he likes black (tak kan lah wedding nak black eh) and he even request from his mum that the pelamin must have some Gold colour in it, that is so not him to request for stuffs. Anyways, i shall proceed with the details k?

Now comes the emo part. 
I thought this is the normal salam the parents session and I know that its gonna be a all teary. But i was surprised when Husin Saban mentioned "Ini ada satu kejutan buat mempelai......"

At 1st I thought that the dance session are gonna start....

Dalam kepala otak da manyumpah "eh....not when I'm in my songket siak!!"

And Husin Saban announced "Ibu Bapa anda ingin memberi anda hadiah..."

That's when I saw Rohze was carrying a tray, looks like gubahan seh

Husin Saban continues "Hadiah merupakan wang tunai, dua ribu dolar untuk anda, Fairuz..."

Alhamdulilah, rezeki kami suami isteri and I thought that was it until Husin Saban speaks..

"Khalilah.....anda pun tidak terkecuali..."

Wait....what? I have too? Ya Allah........I'm so touched.

MIL gave me a gold bangle. One look and I know its not cheap. Syukur sangat...

I am still surprised and I don't know what I had done to deserve all these..overwhelmed indeed.

2nd Outfit

Before proceeding to the Dais, we stopped to take pics with the Husband's gym kakis.

Started off with his 'thank you' speech. I did make a speech too but I cut it short by saying "apa2 yang saya nak cakap, Fairuz pon da cakap.." Da penat punya pasal k and have no idea to cerita panjang segala..

Now, the start of the joget2 part...

The usual routine was that the cousins will practice  some dance steps of a song chosen and in the middle of the song, they will call the pengantins to join the dance and that is it.

For our wedding, its a whole different thing.

They had gotten the kids to do the opening act and while they are dancing halfway, the Husband's abang sedara stopped them and "action2 marah" the kids and saying "apa ni korang joget2 lagu orang putih? ini kan majlis melayu...takde ke lagu melayu? Ah, mari sini Abang2 tunjok korang..."

That's where the song Cinta Anak Kampung by Jamal Mirdad came out and we were pulled by his cousin from the pelamin to join in the dance....

 Wah....kene joget to the full song hokay unlike dorang2 yg da lepas cuma kene joget halfway through the song...tak fair!!! haha!!

 

 Ingatkan dabis eh......oh tidak...

Kakak sedara dia pekik "lagi satu lagu ah!!!!"

*GULPS*

ketiak, kelengkang semua da peluh joget satu lagu,  ni dorang nak sambung lagi satu lagu eh, habis basah kuyup lah aku!

ah.....tgk ni...when the Husband is overly excited. LOL!

 Da....da....part joget dabis!

But the sad part was............Husband was too tired that he didn''t even managed to sing for me :(

I overheard the DJ asking the Husband 

"Fairuz, u wanna sing now or later?" 

He replied "just forgo bang...penat ah"

But its ok, setiap malam laki aku boleh nyanyi kan sebelum tido ;p

After that we begin to salam all the makciks and pakciks.

Yang kekek is when he salam his aunts and they were teasing him....

you know lah, about the malam pertama and stuffs..hehe..

Lepas tukar baju jer, dorang semua bully seh...dorang cakap "da da,,,,title raja sehari kau dabis..nah amek penyapu ni tolong sapu..." LOL!!!

 And with that....its a wrap!!!!
